Founded in 1975, Hidalgo Health Associates was the first EAP
in the south. We were one of the earliest members of ALMACA
(now EAPA). We helped to develop national standards for EAP
services, ethics and credentialing that resulted in the creation
of a nationally recognized certification program for Certified
Employee Assistance Professionals (CEAP).

In 1980, Health Associates of America developed the first
Utilization Review service in Louisiana. Today we are a licensed
MNRO specializing in behavioral services. We provide Utilization
Review Services which balance the needs of the payors, providers
and patients.

Independent Medical Appeals, LLC, a member of the Health Associates
Group is a certified Independent Review Organization. IMA
was formed in 2001 as a full service IRO for medical and behavioral
health utilization review services.

In 1995, HA pioneered the development and administration of
behavioral health care services unique to the complex issues
of Worker’s Compensation case management. Our services

Utilization Review Clinical Staff includes the following professionals

with expertise in child / adolescent, geriatric, addictionology
and general psychiatry.
