Health Associates, LLC is the parent company for two specialized behavioral health organizations, Hidalgo Health Associates and Health Associates of America.

Our services are individually designed to meet the needs of our clients. We do not provide a “one sized fits all approach”.

We are a completely independent organization, not affiliated directly or indirectly with any insurance company, HMO, hospital, clinic, or provider of behavioral services. This assures you, the client of complete objectivity for all of our services. Your best interest is our best interest.

We vigorously support the ethical prohibition, endorsed by mental health professionals, against EAP self-referrals. Self-referrals increase the cost of behavioral health care and create a financial conflict of interest between the client and EAP provider. We do not self-refer. The true cost of an EAP service that allows self-referrals cannot be calculated without an analysis of the impact of self-referrals against behavioral health care claims. In our experience, self referrals result in increased health care premiums.

We provide services for over 750,000 lives. Our service area includes North and South America, the Caribbean and Europe. Our clients range in size from 50 to 17,000 employees, in businesses as diverse as environmental, manufacturing, chemicals, banking, media, universities, municipalities, law firms, hospitals. insurers and third party administrators.

Founded in 1975, Hidalgo Health Associates was the first EAP in the south. We were one of the earliest members of ALMACA (now EAPA). We helped to develop national standards for EAP services, ethics and credentialing that resulted in the creation of a nationally recognized certification program for Certified Employee Assistance Professionals (CEAP).
